Feeling Confident?

Picture it!  I am sitting on the beach with six friends.  I look up and see a man strolling alone near the water.  This man is average size, average weight, maybe 60 years old, and wearing a thong. I lost it. We giggled. Most of the sunbathers pointed and laughed. This is when I realized, this man is my hero!
Let me explain.

It is difficult to feel confident in every situation. I don't think there is anyone who isn't intimidated by at least one person. I find my level of confidence changes depending on setting and the people I know or trust in the room.

Now, think about the level confidence this man has. He unashamedly walks alone on the beach in a thong. He is living out some people's worst nightmare. People are pointing and laughing.  The audacity of the this man is impressive. I am certain that each day he does exactly what HE wants.

Wouldn't it be amazing to know that you could, with thong wearing beach walking confidence, do what you want to do.
So my new goal in life is not to walk on the beach alone in a thong, but to have the confidence to go for it if I wanted.

  1. I honestly cannot think of a single human being who intimidates me. No one I've ever met, at the very least.

  2. I would not feel comfortable walking down the strand in a thong, however. I guess that was your point! :)
